A Discipleship Conference will be held at Winfield Baptist Church on May 1 from
6- 8 PM and on Saturday, May 2 from 8:30-12:30 PM.
The conference will be led by Dr. Don Whitney, Professor of Biblical Spirituality and Associate Dean at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Biblical spiritual disciplines for ordinary people will be discussed. Topics will include scripture reading, meditation, prayer, and turning readers of the word into doers of the word.  The event is free and childcare is provided. On Saturday, May 2 the Christian Motorcyclists Association will host its annual Run for the Son.  The CMA Milton Chapter will be participating in the Run.  Riders will raise support to spread the light of Jesus to every nation.  This year's goal is $5,000,000.  Anyone interested in participating in the event can meet at the Country Cupboard Restaurant in Lewisburg at 9am.  The round trip ride is approximately 100 miles.  For more information call 570-768-6378.
