WGRC Christian Radio

We are so glad to say that 91.9-FM is operating at 100% power!!  This frequency, located near Kulpmont/Mt. Carmel aims to better serve Columbia, upper Dauphin, Montour, Northumberland and Schuylkill Counties.  Thank you so much for your support of this effort and please join us in prayer that God will use this new radio station to reach many with the Christ-centered programming of the WGRC radio ministry!**

Project Support Need:  We still have a need for additional funds to support the start-up of this new addition to the WGRC radio network.  The following amount is needed to pay off a short-term bank loan that was used to complete construction:  $26,000

Why Is This Project So Important?  Here are the facts:
This additional radio station is licensed to Kulpmont and has a fantastic tower location with the power to improve our signal to Northumberland, Columbia, Montour and Schuylkill Counties and beyond!  Lewisburg's 91.3FM will continue to be the center of operation feeding its signal to this and all our other frequencies in the Heartland.

As you know we do have various "Translator Frequencies" throughout our coverage area.  We are happy for them, BUT they are low power and can easily be bumped by other full power stations.  We have experienced numerous issues in this regard in State College and Pottsville.  Full power stations cost considerably more than translators, but provide important permanency.  It is very necessary that we take this step of faith now or lose the opportunity to maintain a strong radio ministry presence as we live here to better serve more individuals and families in the Heartland.

Fundraising Banquet Gets Expansion Project Off The Ground!
Faced with a critical need of $75,000 (to pay for the tower, antenna and related equipment), the Fundraising Banquet got things rolling on Thursday, September 22nd.  Over $15,500 was raised, quickly bringing us to over 20% of our goal!  We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated in this kick-off event, including musicians, those giving testimonies, table sponsors, silent auction donors and financial contributors! 

The "Light The Way" Fundraiser raised $20,335 in 2 days!!
On November 1st and 2nd, WGRC listeners responded in a powerful way with over 120 donors contributing to this expansion project. A total of $20,335 was raised during the on-air event which featured many testimonies.  These testimonies highlighted how God is using Christian radio in the hearts of area families.  Other area residents voiced their need to have this station on the air to serve their home community.  Following this on-air fundraiser, WGRC is more than 50% of the way to the target of $75,000.

Since the major fundraising emphasis, Central PA has continued to respond to our overall project need... and for that we thank you!  Enough funding was put in place in order to secure a short-term loan to complete the construction of the newest station in WGRC's radio network.
